Union Square

The lively neighborhood of Union Square is anchored by its namesake pedestrian plaza and bustling park that’s existed for 170 years, spans nine acres, and draws professionals, street artists, students and protesters alike. Every Saturday, people flock to the long-running, legendary Union Square Greenmarket for local produce and artisanal food. Surrounding the park are streets lined with high-rise buildings, big chain retailers, home design stores and showrooms, plus casual eateries and quaint cafes. Union Square is also very conveniently sought-after as a commuter hub, offering a great central location bordered by Chelsea, Gramercy Park, and Greenwich Village. Another big part of what makes Union Square special besides the diversity of its commerce is the fantastic entertainment available.
