Chinatown

Historic Chinatown has increasingly become home to a young, hip crowd who join multi-generational locals and tourists mulling about the busy streets. There’s so much here to enjoy, from dim sum restaurants to exotic groceries and tea parlors, jewelry stores, and other treasures not found elsewhere in NYC. Like Chinatown’s boundaries, the exact dates of the community’s beginnings are hard to identify. This Lower Manhattan enclave has stayed true to its origins while also continuing to thrive and grow. Columbus Park is a favorite spot for card games and sports, while the winding Doyers Street has become a fashionable place for cocktails and dining. Residents of this dynamic area also have easy access to the Financial District, Lower East Side, SoHo and Tribeca minutes away.
