Clinton Hill

Clinton Hill is brimming with grand mansions and townhouses dating back to the 1870s-80s, when Clinton Avenue was known as the 19th Century “Gold Coast” of Brooklyn and drew the moneyed crowd. Today the beautiful tree-lined neighborhood retains its stately aura, yet is diverse and sought-after with lots of restaurants, cafes, boutiques, and of course, the world-class art school, Pratt Institute, named after industrialist Charles Pratt and one of the country’s most architecturally significant college campuses. Clinton Hill abuts the Brooklyn Navy Yard, a center of manufacturing and workforce innovation located across 300-acres along Brooklyn’s waterfront. With its central location in northwestern Brooklyn, the neighborhood borders some of the borough’s most desirable areas and has a small-town feel so many fall in love with.
