Greenwich Village

Enchanting Greenwich Village is a vibrant, historic neighborhood brimming with creativity and activity. Its distinctive architecture, tree-lined streets, fabulous restaurants, trendy cafes, boutique shops, artsy movie theatres, live music venues and comedy clubs are among its intriguing attractions. The crowning jewel, set in the heart of the Village, is wonderful Washington Square Park, known for its famous marble arch and fountain. The 9.75-acre public park serves as a popular meeting place and backdrop for everything from cultural activities and street performers to chess players, skateboarders, strollers and others. Surrounding this downtown jewel are stunning residences, including 1830s Greek Revival row houses positioned to the north, and the Isaacs-Hendricks House built circa 1799, the oldest remaining home in the Village. Of course New York University is a prominent resident of the area as well.
