Soho / Noho

Popular Soho, Noho, and Nolita are quaint neighboring enclaves located in downtown Manhattan. These desirable destinations are filled with trendy restaurants and stores, not to mention beautiful architectural and charming cobblestone streets. The name Soho derives from the area being “South of Houston” (and north of Canal St). Noho stands for North of Houston, and Nolita refers to North of Little Italy, both more recently popular. A former industrial neighborhood and a long-time creative hub, SoHo originally lured artists with its airy loft spaces in 19th-century cast-iron buildings, and is now home to international brands, designer boutiques, and culinary delights of all kinds. The neighborhood is very fashionable, but its architecture is timeless. About 500 buildings with handsome decorative cast-iron facades still remain in the coveted Soho Historic District. Soho is always brimming with people seeking great places for dining, shopping, nightlife and culture.
