Tribeca

Tribeca, originally designated the “Triangle Below Canal Street,” has broadened its boundaries and become one of the hottest neighborhoods in NYC. Once home to industrial warehouses, Tribeca is a hip area that respects its classic heritage and cast-iron architecture, while celebrating the transformation of many old industrial buildings into luxury residential loft spaces. After the Civil War, the city’s shipping industry moved from the east to west side due to its longer piers along the Hudson. This more recently gave shape to Hudson River Park, a treasure of the area and relaxing waterside public space stretching four miles north. Tribeca is also appealing for its charming cobblestone streets, lined with chic boutiques and restaurants, historic commercial buildings like the red-brick NY Mercantile Exchange, Washington Market Park, The Odeon, Tribeca Film Festival and more.
